His monsters have that brilliant naive style with fat black outlines, strange noses and scratchy little details. It works really well with Posca pens, especially if you like your characters a bit odd.

In this tutorial, we’re drawing a cactus plant with a cat face mashed into it.
It’s a fun little character to try because the shapes are simple, the colours do a lot of the work, and there’s loads of room to make it your own without overthinking it.
This one proves you don’t need loads of pens to make something solid.
Three pens. That’s it.
It’s all about bold shapes, layering, and using mistakes to your advantage.
