Colourful Monkey

This week's monkey returns, but this time we're drawing it with alcohol markers instead of Posca pens.

The focus is on using simple pencil construction, layering light and dark marker colours to build form, and then finishing everything with expressive fineliner outlines. We'll also experiment with unusual colour combinations, texture and a coloured border to make the character really pop.

Posca Lazy Monkey

In this tutorial we're taking the lazy monkey from Doodle Club and turning it into a simplified Posca version. We'll build the character using blocks of colour first, then finish it with wonky black outlines and a few simple shadows to give it plenty of personality.
