Pug on Brown Card

This one is a Posca version of the pug, done small on brown card and using the card itself as part of the colour. It’s a good one to try if you want to build a character with paint pens, strong line work and a simple limited palette.

Pug

This one leans more into structure. You’ll build the pug up using pencil first, then ink over the top with a Sharpie. The eyes do most of the heavy lifting here, so take your time with those and the rest falls into place.

This one is all about drawing a little pug in the middle, then filling the space around it with loads of simple pug shapes. It’s a good one to try if you want to play with colour combinations, simple character shapes and a bit of experimentation without overthinking it.
