Skull Monster Stack

This one starts with a simple skull before filling the top of the page with a stack of quirky creatures. Using the Kawaii Club prompt cards, each character is easy to draw but can be mixed and matched to create a completely unique page.

Stumpy Alien

This session is another version of the stumpy alien character, but with a more compact shape and the arms curling up around the head. We’re going straight in with Posca pens, keeping the colours limited and using light and dark tones to build the shadows.

Alien Monster

This week's character gets another makeover, this time as a bold black and white doodle. You'll build it from a simple potato shape, then add a huge mouth, multiple eyes and chunky cactus-style arms before finishing it with loads of texture using a Sharpie and fine liner.

Cactus Arm Monster

In this session we're drawing the same little monster again, but this time using Promarkers. We’ll keep the shape simple, give it cactus-style arms, add some shading, then finish it off with black outlines, wrinkles, spots and a little Posca shine in the eye.

Promarker Monster

In this tutorial, we draw the weekly monster character again, this time using Promarkers to practise simple blending and shadows. It’s a good one for playing with colour, tip-to-tip blending, shiny details and adding a bit more depth to a simple character.
