Elise Gravel Style Fly

Loosely inspired by Elise Gravel, this Posca Club tutorial is all about drawing a loose, colourful fly while practising simple colour blending and layered texture. It’s a quick piece that gives you plenty of space to experiment without worrying about making every line perfect.

Catcus

In this tutorial, we’re drawing a cactus plant with a cat face mashed into it. It’s a fun little character to try because the shapes are simple, the colours do a lot of the work, and there’s loads of room to make it your own without overthinking it.

Jon Kelly Green Tiger

This one proves you don’t need loads of pens to make something solid. Three pens. That’s it. It’s all about bold shapes, layering, and using mistakes to your advantage.

Bowl of Monsters

The intention behind this was to finish with adding some noodles (or worms) coming out of the bowl but we ran out of time. Still looks great with lots of little shaded beasts stacked up on top of each other.

Cat in a Box

Let’s draw a cheeky cat in a cardboard box, with half-closed eyes and its tongue sticking out. It’s a fun way to practise a bit of 3D drawing and simple shadows. I’m going with a green cat, but use whatever colours you fancy.

Watermelon Cat

In this tutorial, we’re turning a few simple shapes into a watermelon cat. We’ll build up the classic watermelon colours with Posca pens, then add a few black details, seeds and reflections to finish it off.

Easy Posca Tentacles

In this tutorial, we’re using a chunky Posca to create a quick and easy half-octopus packed with wonky tentacles. We’ll add simple shadows, spots and sucker silhouettes before finishing it with black outlines and highlights.

Zentangle Fish

We’re drawing a simple fish with Poscas and filling it with colourful Zentangle-style patterns. Different pen sizes and repeating lines, waves and scales add loads of detail without making the drawing too complicated.

Rainbow Cloud

In this tutorial, we're creating a full-colour puking rainbow on cardboard. We'll build some depth into the cloud with shadows and highlights, then layer drips and splats over the rainbow to make the whole thing much more interesting.

Bloody Bubble Tea

In this tutorial, we’re giving bubble tea a darker twist by turning the top of the cup into a skull and filling it with blood. We’ll build up the skull, cup and liquid with different tones, then add a straw, bubbles, reflections and plenty of small details.

3D Posca Tiki Mask

In this tutorial, we’re drawing a wooden tiki mask and using a simple technique to give it a 3D look. We’ll use two tones of each colour to build the shape, then add wood grain, shadows and small details to bring everything forward.
