In this Digital Doodle Club lesson we build a weird little animated scene using Adobe Fresco.
The idea is simple: a monster spinning around inside a washing machine with socks, bubbles and bits of laundry tumbling around.
It might sound ridiculous, but it’s actually a great way to learn a bunch of useful digital drawing techniques at the same time.
In this lesson you’ll learn how to combine vector drawing, pixel brushes, layers and animation paths to create a short looping animation.
We start by drawing the washing machine and the monster using vector brushes. From there we add colour, shading and texture before bringing everything to life with Fresco’s animation tools.
By the end of the tutorial you’ll have a fully animated doodle and a much better understanding of how these tools work together.
There’s quite a lot packed into this one, so take your time with it and experiment.
