RikCat Style Wierdo's
In this tutorial we’re drawing a RikCat style page, inspired by Rick Catlow’s chunky, wonky character work.
We’ll keep the shapes simple, build up a few weird faces, then use black pen and pencil to create fake white power lines that make the characters pop off the page.

RikCat Zombie Head
This week we’re drawing a weird zombie head inspired by Rick Catlow, also known as RikCat.
His monsters have that brilliant naive style with fat black outlines, strange noses and scratchy little details. It works really well with Posca pens, especially if you like your characters a bit odd.

No Pencil Zen Fish
In this tutorial, we’re drawing a simple fish and filling the back with a Japanese wave-style Zentangle pattern.
It’s a chilled one, using just two fineliners, and it’s great for practising repeated line work without overthinking it.

No-Outline Koinobori
In this tutorial, we’re drawing a koinobori flag using Posca pens, but without the usual black outline.
It’s a good one for playing with a limited palette, layering colours, cutting shapes back in, and adding a bit of metallic gold.

Sliced Koi Fish Flag
In this Color Club tutorial, we’re drawing a koi fish flag with a twist. Instead of keeping it traditional, we slice the fish open and add salmon-style sections inside.

Koinobori Fish Flags
In this tutorial from guest artist KDVM, you’ll draw a set of koinobori fish flags on a bamboo pole, using simple shapes, bold outlines and loads of little doodle patterns.
It’s a good one for practising layout, repeating shapes and adding your own details without overthinking it.

Koinobori Fish Flag
This Posca Club tutorial ties in with Kirsty’s Doodle Club session and Japanese-inspired koinobori flags.
You’ll draw a big koi-style windsock fish with a wide open mouth, chunky scales, bold colours and plenty of wonky black line work.

Floating Droid
In this tutorial we’re drawing a floating droid with jetpack fists, a chrome-style arm effect and a simple layered background using Posca pens. It’s a great one for experimenting with reflections, shadows and wonky lines without needing everything to be perfect.

Launching Space Droids
This one is all about building simple droids from basic shapes and then pushing loads of personality into them with tiny details. Great session if you want to loosen up, draw faster and stop overthinking every line.

Robot Fish Spaceship
In this Doodle Club session, we’re drawing a robot, spaceship, fish kind of thing using black pens.
This one is all about dark areas, drop shadows, panels and little details, so it ends up looking technical without needing loads of complicated drawing.

Brain Robot
In this Posca Club tutorial, we’re drawing a flying robot with a brain dome, chunky black shadows, and loads of little mechanical details.
It looks complicated, but it’s mostly simple shapes, strong colours, and wonky lines holding it all together.
