Fluffy Skull
In this tutorial we’re drawing a fluffy skull, somewhere between a bear head and a skull.
It’s a fun one because part of it is bone, part of it is fur, and by the end you won’t always be able to tell where one stops and the other starts.

Mordecai
In this tutorial, we’re drawing Mordecai from Regular Show.
The stance makes this a good character to break down with simple shapes, wonky lines and a bit of shading at the end. You’ll use a pencil for a few light guidelines, then build the character with fineliners.

Bird-Eating Dog
In this tutorial we're drawing a wolf with a bird stuck in its mouth using a simple negative space technique.
By colouring in the bird instead of drawing the teeth directly, the white of the page does all the hard work for you. It's a quick, fun project that encourages you to embrace wonky lines ...

Toucan Colour Blends
In this Color Club tutorial, we’re drawing a toucan-style bird using a really simple D-shape technique.
It’s a nice one to try if you want to practise colour blending without getting too precious about the drawing. Once the head and body shapes are in, the beak, tail feathers and details all star...

Chicken Head
In this lesson we're drawing a weird chicken character using nothing but fineliner pens.
There are no pencil guidelines, no safety nets and no colouring. Just line work, texture, shading and plenty of wonky lines to build a character full of personality.

Paul Gill Bird Head
In this lesson we’re taking inspiration from artist Paul Gill and drawing a simple retro-style character with a bird sitting on top of its head.
It’s a nice easy one, but there’s still plenty of room to play around with the shapes, colours and little weird details at the end.

Sword Head
In this RikCat inspired tutorial, we’re drawing a tiny character and blowing it up to fill the whole page.
This one is all about weird head shapes, fat wonky lines and proving that you can do almost anything to a drawing if you bring a bit of humour to it.

RikCat Pyramid
In this Color Club tutorial, we’re drawing a RikCat inspired pyramid character with a big eye, chunky mouth, little limbs and a bottle in its hand.
It’s a good one for practising wonky outlines, simple shading and adding a slightly glitchy offset effect without overthinking the whole thing.

RikCat Style Wierdo's
In this tutorial we’re drawing a RikCat style page, inspired by Rick Catlow’s chunky, wonky character work.
We’ll keep the shapes simple, build up a few weird faces, then use black pen and pencil to create fake white power lines that make the characters pop off the page.

RikCat Zombie Head
This week we’re drawing a weird zombie head inspired by Rick Catlow, also known as RikCat.
His monsters have that brilliant naive style with fat black outlines, strange noses and scratchy little details. It works really well with Posca pens, especially if you like your characters a bit odd.

No Pencil Zen Fish
In this tutorial, we’re drawing a simple fish and filling the back with a Japanese wave-style Zentangle pattern.
It’s a chilled one, using just two fineliners, and it’s great for practising repeated line work without overthinking it.
